Deep crimson in colour, this wine reveals an expressive bouquet of blackberries, dark cherries, ripe plum and cassis, layered with hints of cracked black pepper, fynbos and warm spice. The Swartland Syrah and Pinotage bring depth, vibrancy and savoury complexity, while the Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon lends structure and refinement. Subtle nuances of graphite and paprika from the Tradouw Cabernet Franc and Merlot add elegance and intrigue. The palate is rich and seamlessly textured, with polished tannins and beautifully integrated oak revealing notes of cedar spice. Full-bodied and poised, the wine finishes with remarkable length, sophistication and a lingering sense of place.
VINEYARDS
Grapes were sourced from vineyards in the Stellenbosch mountainside, decomposed granite in the Swartland and Bokkeveld shale soils in Tradouw. The result is a wine that shows the structure of Stellenbosch, the sexyness of the Swartland and refined elegance of Tradouw on the finish.
